How It All Works
A monitoring system is shipped to your organization,
pre-configured for your network. The system has a number of software packages
and scripts that we use to monitor your systems as well as to achieve
console access to each server or workstation that we are managing. The
monitoring stations come with all the cables, network interfaces and an
uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). These rugged systems act as a secure
gateway to your environment. They are locked down and can only accept
connections from our network monitoring center. All communications are
heavily encrypted. From the monitoring system, Marz Consulting can then
connect to the console port of your servers or workstations. With secure
console access, Marz is able to complete all UNIX Admin support tasks
including hardware diagnostics, installation of the operating
system, user and group management, process control and anything else an
onsite UNIX Admin would do.

A Common Scenario
Your organization has several Sun workstations and servers.
